As a professional surface pattern designer, I've gained years of experience negotiating licensing contracts and pricing with clients on various creative platforms. However, to streamline the licensing process and enhance transparency for both my clients and myself, I've launched a Pattern Shop on my website.
If you're interested in licensing any of my patterns, the process is now a breeze! You can easily license a design in just a few clicks, without the need for personal negotiations.
To make your experience even more enjoyable, I've provided some tips on navigating my YKD Pattern Shop.
On the main page, you'll find my patterns sorted by upload date or price. You can also use the filter options on the left side of the page to sort by category, collection, theme, or price.
Choosing the Perfect Licensing Options for Your Favorite Pattern Design
If you find a pattern you like, you can view a quick summary by clicking on the design or dive deeper into the details by opening the Product Page. Here, you can view all the available colorways, read the design description, and select the licensing options that best suit your needs.
For exclusive licensing options, you'll need to choose the licensing period, region, and product category, which will affect the final licensing price. For non-exclusive licensing or full buyout, these options will not affect the price, as it is fixed.
Easy Checkout and Fast Files Delivery: How to Complete Your Licensing Purchase
After choosing your licensing options, you can sign up (or log in), add the design to your cart or wishlist, and pay via PayPal. Once your purchase is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email. Within three working days, you'll receive the licensing agreement with your signed data, and the design files based on the license type and other options you've chosen.
